EV Photo is a boutique lab specializing in printing for professional photographers and artists. The love of both photography and the printed image drives the business forward each and every day. Tristam is a Canson Certified Master Printer and EV Photo was the first lab in Australia to achieve this benchmark. As a lab supported by both Eizo and Epson Australia, coupled with Tristam’s formal photographic background, attention to detail, a strong knowledge of papers and processes it is no wonder EV Photo is sought after Australia wide by many of the country's top photographers. All stocks are custom profiled to the machines they are run on and Tristam works with each photographer’s preferred colour space to produce optimal results.
EV Photo works with many photographers on their exhibition journey and has strong experience in producing outstanding images to awards specifications, especially the AIPP and WPPI. These exhibition and awards images are second to none and EV Photo have proudly produced the highest scoring print at the QEPPA Awards 3 out of the last 4 years.

Digital Printing
All EV Photo digital prints are run though an Epson dry lab which has a much better colour range and gives us far more control over slight colour and density adjustment on projects. Our machine is a lot slower than the traditional RA4 machine but after running a Fuji Frontier for 9 years we made the move about 3 years ago. Quality over speed every time.
Canvas
The canvas used inhouse is a poly cotton blend and run with Epson ultrachrome inks then finished with a liquid laminate designed to last 75 years.
Fine Art,
EV Photo use the best fine art paper in the world - Canson.
Canson stocks range in weight but are mostly around the 310 gsm. They have no OBA’s and are manufactured to last a lifetime. Combined with the Epson ultrachrome inks and our custom made ICC profiles you can be assured that these prints are the very best that money can buy. This is what we use to print for so many exhibitions, awards and galleries as there is simply nothing better.
